41st TORBAY FISHING FESTIVAL 2009 - A FEW WORDS FROM YOUR CHAIRMAN

Hello Fellow Anglers,

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 41^st Torbay angling festival: yes the 41^st!
THE FIRST WAS 1968.

Also I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the hard working festival committee for their dedication in organising the festival, without them it would not exist, so thank you all very much!

Great news that Abu Garcia have agreed to sponsor us again, Thank you Abu Garcia!

The junior section entry has been dropped to £3 a day and £20 for the full 9 days, also the specimen weight from 50% now down to 40%.

I also have to draw your attention to commercial angling fishermen; they now need to apply to the festival secretary Mr Paul Vaggers for a dispensation!

There is concern that some people do not fully understand the festival rules, so please read them.

I would like to remind everyone that any angler signed on to fish the festival shall not sell any fish that he/she may catch, this also includes from private boats!

Please help us to keep this a sporting competition!

I would like for as many people as possible to attend the presentation evening and help support the R.N.L.I. raffle, the presentation will be held on the 3^rd of October at the Hoburne Centre, Grange Road, Goodrington, Paignton. I would like to thank to Torbay Council for supporting this night.

 All it takes now, is for me, on behalf of myself and your hard working committee, to wish you good weather and great catches in this year’s Festival and to see you all on the winners list.
